Persephone’s Curse and Persephone’s Grief are the first two installments in a trilogy. The third novel in the series (the title will have to stay secret for now) already exists and I will soon start editing it.

There are a few scenes and snippets I have that haven’t made it into the novel. Over time I will likely post some of them on here, as well as possible snippets for the upcoming novels. However, to keep from spoiling any of the upcoming novels it might take some time until then. If you want to stay up to date with it though you can subscribe to my mailing list.

I can’t precisely name any favorite book of mine, because there would be just too many to choose from. So this is just a brief list of authors and novels I enjoyed recently. If you want to see what else I’m reading or still want to read you can also check out my shelves on goodreads.com.

  • The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater
  • Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • Legend Series by Marie Lu
  • All novels taking place in the Shadowhunter universe of Cassandra Clare

Ideas for stories usually come to me quite organically. Frequently it starts out with a very rough scene or just a general idea of the characters I want to create. Very often I will just jot those ideas down in one of my many journals and forget about them for a while. At some other point I might get another idea that weaves in well with that first one and then when I realize I’ve reached a certain point where I’m constantly thinking about the same storyline I’ll start researching and plotting it.

When I write I mostly write at my desk, where creative chaos clutters every last inch and I can watch the pin board on my wall where I keep most of my research. Other than my desk I sometimes move my laptop out onto my balcony, sitting amongst the flowers I planted there and watch the airplanes flying in and out of Frankfurt Airport on the horizon. My loose writing routine is to try and write 1000 words a day, though I must admit I’m a pro at procrastinating and therefore it sometimes happens that I don’t get around to keeping that goal.
